Deck & Deck, L.L.P. is the original Deck law firm that began in 1950 when the senior partner, Paul W. Deck, left an established insurance defense and litigation firm in Sioux City to start his own firm. From an initial clientele of two insurance companies, the client base has grown over the years. Our clients also include a major national and international manufacturer based in Sioux City as well as other notable business clients. We serve as general outside counsel for that manufacturer and are responsible for antitrust compliance, product liability prevention programs, supervision of all litigation as well as other corporate law firm matters.
COMPENSATION LAW
Our workers’ compensation law practice presently requires us to work closely with a major national manufacturer with international markets in addition to a variety of other businesses. Our insurance defense and litigation practice ranges from automobile cases, dramshop, premise liability, product and professional liability to workers' compensation. We have served as chief defense counsel on cases involving a major elevator explosion, the fire death of five children caused by an allegedly defective product, and numerous other instances of less catastrophic consequence. Our workers' compensation law practice also includes injured workers who need legal services to obtain benefits, medical care, and advice.
